Employees make up endless excuses (outside of their pickup conditions), or are rude when even asking about rolloff service etc. Management is rude and unprofessional, bordering outright hostile. Take your business elsewhere and push City Hall for other options such as in-house waste collection like other municipalities.

I’m salmon arm we only get our garbage picked up every 2 weeks. We pay for this with our property taxes. I have a family of 5, do whatever I can to recycle yet over half the time scv will not take it. They give the can a quick shake and tag it as too heavy. My 10 yr old daughter brings out to the curb no problem and the can isn’t even filled to the top. I always have it lined with a garbage bag but they are so inconsistent with what they will and will not take. Contacted scv today, he gave a number to send photos and then no response. Not sure what else residents can do about this company.

August 7, 2025Just a warning. Don't sign the contract. It is not legal and has no end point. We signed with previous owners for 3 years. That was 4 years ago and the new owner is combative and wants $1400 to get out of the contract. I think I'll wait until he goes bankrupt.

Living in a time where we’re encourage to recycle, and you have a company in salmon arm that won’t recycle glass, get with the times people. One jar got left in my recycling bin and they left over half of the recycling in the bin.
